We cleaned out the "wine cellar" yesterday (really just a small, unfortunately damp room in the basement where we stash things). There we found a Magicland kite/map which must have been there for ages. I got all sappy thinking about the little boy and girl who used to make up games and stories and you-name-it about Magicland. All of a sudden, the little boy is very grown up (off at college with a girlfriend and everything) and the little girl is turning 15! What happened?! They actually still make up games and stories (although perhaps not technically about Magicland), but they certainly are not little!

Thank goodness I'm delighted with the young adults they have become - It's hard enough to say good-bye to the little ones. It would be awful if I didn't like the big ones so much.

I saw this and just sat down with two of my little ones who are at home and we made a giant railroad track all the way to the kitchen. It'll take me most of naptime to clean up, but I thank you for the perspective.

I'm delighted to contribute to such a perspective! If you ever need a dose of such perspective or wonder if it is all worthwhile, just let me know.

I still think back to Pargogelis now and again. It's a very nice place.
