I'm counting the pages . . .
Jun. 17th, 2005 09:05 amas I read, calculating how many more pages I have to go. This is totally unlike me - I love to get absorbed in a book and I often hope that it will go on forever. And it's nothing really against "Dune". I liked it when I read it many, many years ago and I actually like it now - I just don't want to be reading it. I have gotten so spoiled! I'm so used to spending my leisure time reading what I am in the mood for - and this is just not it. I know that I could just skip it, but at Confluence they are doing a musical parody of Dune - their plays are hysterical, and I know that I'll enjoy it much more if I can remember the book. So, it's for a good cause. And in just 191 more pages, I'll be able to go back to reading what I want - I certainly will appreciate that more. Good thing I'm not in school!
