because whenever I have a block of time free, I set up tons of expectations about all the wonderful things I can accomplish with that time. This inevitably leads to disappointment. Yesterday was a case in point: I actually had 3 full hours free in the morning. 3 hours! That's a huge amount of time, so I figured that I would get my taxes and X's financial aid forms done, catch up on client billing issues, do phone calls, paperwork, etc., etc. Right! I was doomed from the start. Some of the papers I needed for taxes were at the office but others were home, nothing was where it should be, and so on. So, despite the fact that I worked hard, the entire time was totally unsatisfying. Now, if I had just planned to sleep in a bit and goof off, I probably could have succeeded at that. There must be a message here someplace . . .
