Tickit and Dr. Who

I've never had a dog who has paid any attention to the TV at all. It had not occurred to us that we haven't watched Dr. Who for quite a while (possible since before we got Tickit - please, no spoilers, we are only on Season 6). Tickit went absolutely bananas at the first Tardis sound and continued at every strange sound - and, let's face it, on Dr. Who there are a ton of those. She was barking at the TV, scratching to try to get up into the TV, going around behind the TV to find where the sound was coming from, going at it from all directions. Clearly, she want to be the new Companion - and why hasn't there been a dog companion anyway?!
