The NPR gods smiled on me

We didn't technically have to be up as early as usual. We are both swamped with work and J was being a goody-goody and getting up promptly at the usual time. I just couldn't get myself to move, so I lay there for a few extra minutes listening to NPR. I didn't even realize that they were doing an author series, so I was totally surprised when I heard an interview with one of my favorite mystery authors, Donna Leon. Of course, I would have missed it if I had gotten up on time. I'm sure that the NPR gods were sending me a special message: "Go ahead and be a lazy slug when you get a chance." Words to live by.
