It was a very short camping trip . . .
Sep. 20th, 2006 04:05 pmbut it was great to see X and Patty again. Patty fits in very well with our family (which should scare her a lot) - The dogs were in doggie heaven: they are always thrilled to be in the wilderness and they adored Patty. When Georgie was quivering with fear (fireworks or thunderstorms in the distance? We never figured it out), she was only happy to sit on Patty's lap. Very sweet!
Zan and I were both under the weather physically (and, come to think of it, I think the hiking made Patty's foot worse)but the State Park was lovely and I hope to be able to spend more time there on another trip.
The best part of the trip was that we don't have to say good-bye for very long: We get to see X in Oct, Nov, and Dec and Patty again in Nov. So there's lots to look forward to!
