even though we were only gone 2 nights - being in the Middle Ages can do that to us!
NOWM was a lot of fun and met all expectations. The weather was perfect (just a bit cool, which is great for the fighters). We sang for Katy and Bastien's wedding, Court, and feast and were well-received (this being a very accepting groups). Bork was camped in its usual NOWM location, but there is now a gorgeous covered pavilion next to us. At first we were concerned that it would be too noisy or congested there, but I loved the location - the teenagers all hung out either at the pavilion or at our campfire, so we could easily keep track of them.
Vreile got 3 and a half hours in of boffer fighting. At one point she and Corwyn were fighting against William and Con (so outmatched that Corwyn was heard to say "Does Nial hate us?") But Vreile and Corwyn ended up winning! Cynwrig got authorized as a rapier marshall and got some good fighting in. And we must be getting more comfortable in general, because we ended up staying up late around the campfire both nights. We drifted off to sleep to the sounds of Chisato calling Vreile a hermaphroditic cabbage - it simply doesn't get any better than this!
I did lose track of my point system, but will resume tomorrow.
