Firefly crisis
Jan. 24th, 2006 09:02 pmNow, I'm trying to keep perspective on this crisis. I know that I have no right to complain. Rationally, I realize that there are people worse off than we are. After all, I'm sure that there are geeks in Africa who have never even seen one episode of Firefly. HOWEVER . . .
I've been dying to see Firefly for ages. We were lucky enough to have wonderful family members who got us the DVDs for Christmas. We innocently, trustingly settled in to watch the first episode. Not surprisingly, we loved it. Then, disaster struck! In looking through the discs to see if it lists the actor who plays the Shepherd we noticed that we have two copies of Disc 3 and no copies of Disc 2. This set was fully sealed when we received it, but it never occurred to us to examine the discs before we opened it. What cruel, inhuman creature would give someone 2 copies of one disc and leave out another disc?
I plan to go begging on bended knee to Borders tomorrow and plead with them to rescue us (although I think they may frown on the fact that the package has been opened). Wish me luck!
