I'm so glad not to be a single parent!

J was only out of town for 2 nights and 3 days, but it was very stressful for me and I'm definitely very glad he is back! I don't like to think of myself as being so dependent on him, and,in fact, I handled everything fine. Nothing terrible happened - in fact, I doubt that anything would have happened any differently if he had been here. But if he had been here I would have had someone to run things by and provide emotional support, which clearly makes a huge difference to me. [Note: those of you in the process of forming relationships, it does really pay off to marry your best friend!]

Anyway, I got through a confusing and upsetting discussion at SCA, a doggie injury (with resultant indecision about whether to go to vet followed by said vet visit), several scary drives in rotten weather conditions with ABS brakes that appeared not to be working, etc. There also were some good times while he was gone, including kitties, babies and an interesting heraldry class at SCA, and 12th Night at the high school. Yoshi will be fine and I will try not to become phobic about driving in the snow - but I may not let J go away again for a while.
