One reason for this Mom to be in such a good mood . . .

is that her son is soooooo very happy! X is being cute and adorably happy (amusing waitresses even!) - something guaranteed to make a Mom in a good mood. When anything is wrong with my family (even when one of the dogs has a slight tummy upset), I just have a vague sense of unease that permeates the day. But when things are going really great for anyone in the family, there is just an overall feeling of lightness and goodness and rightness. It doesn't hurt any that this all also brings back fond memories of my own past (yes, even to the point of amusing waitresses!)
