It's fun to be brilliant. . .
Feb. 6th, 2005 08:30 pmat least once in a while. I taught this weekend about my specialty area (Panic Disorder) and I'd forgotten how much fun it is to teach something that I know so well (especially when the students don't really know about it much at all). I could draw most of my case examples just from this past week's patients, which made the whole class seem very fresh. It's still tiring, but helps make up for the fact that class wastes much of my weekend.
Then there was Z's Science Olympiad. I went straight from teaching, so was there early enough to get some good genealogy done while listening to their (actually very good) band warm up - I've been to so many of these events, but I missed seeing X and his semi-meter stick. I had a pleasant chat with Julie Lang. and especially loved all the gorgeous, young faces. I was proud of Z who was doing events with very short notice and one partner she hadn't even met before - she handled it beautifully. Hopefully things will be better organized for the next event.
