Take 13 girls and stuff them in the basement . . .

keep them supplied with food and drink, and you have S's sleepover birthday party. It was a total zoo, of course, but now that S is old enough to pretty much run things by herself, we were able to just sit back and enjoy the happy din.

It was particularly touching that S's friends really did a great job choosing thoughtful gifts for her - they clearly know her very well and went out of their way to get things that would please/tease her. I love it when people are so sweet to my kid!
